A Tribute to the Bee Gees

A Tribute to the Bee Gees
She thought that I Started A Joke when I said that the Bee Gees are hardly Stayin’ Alive. “Robin Gibb has joined his twin, Maurice,” I dropped the bomb. “They’re having Too Much Heaven now, free from all worldly pain.”
“But…their songs had Emotion,” she said after a minute of groping for the right Words to say. “Girls…and Boys Do Fall In Love with their music.” She started sniffling. “Barry must feel so terrible being so Alone.”
“It’s a Tragedy, a terrible Tragedy,” I handed her a packet of scented facial tissue. “How Deep is Your Love for them?”
She smiled sweetly at me. “More than I Love You Inside Out. So many fans weeping today, so many hearts broken. How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?”
“Simple. Think of ourselves as Islands in the Stream. We stand in the middle of that stream called life. We will live in it until that stream washes us away.”
“You and your Jive Talkin’.” She was tinkering with her iPod. “Here.” She inserted an earpiece into my ear and took the second earpiece to her own ear. “You Should Be Dancing. I’ve Gotta Get a Message to You: I am More Than a Woman who knows that death is not the end.”
Tony Manero. I started wishing that I had Tony’s body – supple, graceful, tireless on the dance floor, all because of Night Fever.
