Can I Breathe Now?

Whew! That was a close call. Maybe I should whack the heads of the Detroit Pistons' entire roster for giving me a scare!! I mean who could sleep peacefully at night when your favorite NBA team was twice pushed to the brink of elimination. First, the Cleveland Cavaliers won three consecutive games - the first team to humiliate the Pistons by defeating them three times in a row - and in seemed that the Pistons were goners in Game Six but they clawed back from extinction and won the next two games to dispatch the fiesty Cavaliers. And now, the Miami Heat, boasting of a healthy Shaquille O'Neal and Dwane Wade, won three games in a row again against the Bad Boys before the Bad Boys halted their skid with a very precious Game 5 victory.
Geez, the guys certainly know how to give their senile owner, team boss Joe Dumars and their legions of fans a heart attack!! But that is what I like about them. They have shown grit and seemed to have mastered the art of engineering come-from-behind victories. I just wish that they will replicate their earlier victory against the Cavs, otherwise, my crystal ball tells me that the city of Miami will soon be giving the Heat a victory parade for winning an NBA Title.
