Well, I am greatly relieved that keanna reeves won pinoy big brother. it was her or john pratts for us. we were not exactly sympathetic to bianca gonzales and her rumored paramour, zando (don't know his last name!!!)
i am looking forward to its next season featuring, gasp, teenagers!!! next to activists who have been mouthing the same slogans for generations with slight modification and politicians, this young group is interesting to watch.the dudes have the attitude (lazy, clueless about household chores, materialistic, preoccupied with the opposite sex- or same sex, probably inspired by brokeback mountain or pagdadalaga ni maximo oliveros if you are nationalistic!!) and the fights!! boy the fights!!! and i mean not just the catfights, but bloody fisticuffs that would eclipse the bouts of manny " the pacman" pacquiao!!!
on to light stuff!!! i am crazy over kamikazee's new hit(based on feedback in internet chatrooms and my officemates generously heaving praises for the song and the way everybody seems to sing in unison to the song, i am not the only crazed music listener) , narda, inspired by the sexy lady in red tube and bikini (call it exploitation dear feminists!!!). i first heard of the song when the band played on kris aquino's game ka na ba show. they were right when they described the group as energetic, er engaging, performers. but aside from their performance, i also enjoyed their lead vocalist's witty responses to kris' queries (the spies in the military and police should hire this lady as an interrogator!!!). the guy should consider stand-up comedy as a fallback plan. as for the song, well, i got hooked the moment that i listened to it.
now, that's original pinoy music that we can be proud of, not that shameful ripoff that was adapted as pinoy big brother's theme. more originality please!!! go narda!!!
