The Barbers of Old

I finally got a proper haircut in years. And it took an oldtimer to do this. I don't what's wrong with the new generation of barbers, but it seems that they could not follow my specifications to trim 2 inches on the sides and 2 inches on the back with the top and bangs cut short, the ROTC-prescribed style. Sure, they followed the prescribed length, but they always leave my crown thick at the top and my bangs long. I have been frustrated so many times that I began to believe that those guys could not give me a decent semi-kalbo (skinhead) haircut if I ask them to. By the way, I sported the skinhead look for four years in Medical school because I got to save a lot of time from preening in front of the mirror and all that I had to do was shampoo my hair and I'm done.
But the old barber that I went to an hour ago followed my request, and he charged a lower rate than the young guns. He just earned a new customer in me.
