Shameless Promotion

The continued airing of Orange and Lemons hit song,"Pinoy Ako," on ABS-CBN's hit reality show, Pinoy Big Brother, despite the controversy that it has caused is starting to get on my nerves. I mean, for a song purportedly promoting pride in Filipinos (i.e., Manny "PacMan" Pacquiao, Efren "Bata" Reyes) showcasing their achievements before the whole world, the controversy that it is currently mired in smacks of hypocrisy. Yeah, you can add the band's song to the humiliating incidents involving Aragoncillo and Aquino for filching sensitive documents from Dick Cheney's office and from the FBI and passing the information to Filipino politicians for a fee, of course.
For those who have no idea what I am ranting about, I am referring to the well-publicized controversy revolving around an allegation that some parts of the song were allegedly copied from an obscure song of a little-known British band(I think it was The Chandeliers, the band or the song). In short, it was allegedly plagiarized, period.
I believe that ABS-CBN should stop using it as the soundtrack of their show for purely ethical reasons, delicadeza for us Filipinos. If you want to listen to the song itself, I've posted a link below:
